Classes and events at Town Center

Town Center of Virginia Beach’s businesses ran these Mother’s Day weekend events in 2026, according to the May 2026 guide:

  • Macaron Tart: Mother’s Day croissants class (Friday evening), a mille-feuille pastry class (Saturday evening) and a chocolate s’mores macarons class (Sunday morning).
  • Williams Sonoma: a Mother’s Day lemon caper pasta class at 11 a.m. on the Sunday.
  • Muse Paintbar: a Picasso family portrait session on the Saturday and “Flowers for Mom” on the Sunday evening.
  • Twist Martini Bar: an all-day Mother’s Day celebration.
  • Dogtopia: Mother’s Day card crafts and “I Love Mom” pet portraits in the days before.

  • Town Center shops ran Mother’s Day gift promotions in 2026, among them mommy-and-me outfits at Merriment on Main and a limited strawberry “baby buns” dozen at Cinnaholic.
  • Gift cards for Parks and Recreation memberships and classes, and Virginia Aquarium memberships, are sold online or at the centers, the city says.

  • Red Wing Park, 1398 General Booth Blvd.: the Miyazaki Japanese Garden, the Reba S. McClanan Fragrance Garden and a Bee City USA pollinator garden, with picnic shelters and grills. Free.
  • Mount Trashmore Park, 310 Edwin Drive: paths around two lakes, the Kids Cove playground and picnic shelters. Free.
  • The Boardwalk at the Oceanfront, before the summer crowds: dogs are allowed on the beach and Boardwalk until Memorial Day weekend.
