Father’s Day 2027 is Sunday, June 20. Virginia Beach’s options run from a Father’s Day brunch at Town Center to a morning on the Little Island fishing pier or an afternoon among flying World War II aircraft. Here is what was on in 2026 and what is open every year; we will add 2027 events as they are announced.

Brunch and dinner

We list Father’s Day menus only from the restaurant’s own announcement. In 2026, Town Center of Virginia Beach’s businesses posted these, according to its June guide:

  • Cantina Laredo: Father’s Day brunch from 11 a.m.
  • Ruth’s Chris Steak House: Father’s Day hours from 3 p.m.
  • Twist Martini Bar: an all-day Father’s Day celebration.
  • Three Notch’d Brewing Company: “Pint-Lates” at 9:30 a.m. on Father’s Day.
  • Dogtopia: Father’s Day photos with the family dog in the days before.

Outings

Military Aviation Museum, 1341 Princess Anne Road. The museum calls its collection, more than 50 World War I and World War II aircraft restored to flying condition, one of the world’s largest of its kind, with hangars and historic buildings on 130 acres and regular flying demonstrations. Open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

Fishing at Little Island Park, 3820 Sandpiper Road, Sandbridge. The 400-foot pier is open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. from May through October, and no Virginia saltwater license is needed on the pier (you need one to fish from the beach). Bring your own gear, up to four poles each. Pier fees: $8 for residents and $10 for nonresidents to fish, $1 and $2 to sightsee. Parking fees apply in summer.

Play All Day VA, Mount Trashmore Park, 310 Edwin Drive. Parks and Recreation’s free sunrise-to-sunset day of play fell on Father’s Day weekend in 2026 (Sunday, June 21), with sunrise yoga, volleyball, flag football and yard games, the city said.

Party at the Pier, Little Island Park: free concerts on Thursday evenings and movies on Tuesday nights in June and July, with free parking after 5 p.m.

Gifts

A Parks and Recreation gift card covers recreation center memberships and classes, and a Virginia Aquarium or Military Aviation Museum membership makes a year-round gift. The Virginia Beach Farmers Market, 3640 Dam Neck Road, has local food and craft shops year-round.
