Honoring a veteran with a paver
Anyone who has served in any branch of the U.S. armed forces can be honored with a paving stone in the William L. “Billy” Myers Sr. Veterans Memorial Park, next to the Tidewater Veterans Memorial. Two sizes are available. The names of newly added veterans are read at the Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies each year, according to the city.
Proceeds go to the Virginia Beach Mayor’s Committee for Veterans. Orders are taken on the Mayor’s Committee for Veterans page.
