Becca Restaurant & Garden is the main restaurant of the Historic Cavalier Hotel. The resort says diners can sit in the sunroom, the formal dining room or out on the patio.

Chix on the Beach on Atlantic Avenue has an outdoor south patio where dogs are welcome from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Evenings and weekends are dog free, and service animals are always welcome, its site says.

The Dirty Buffalo on South Independence Boulevard is a wing bar whose site lists outdoor seating and describes a string-lit patio at this location.

Five Guys at Red Mill on Nimmo Parkway lists outdoor seating on its store page.

New Realm Brewing Co. on Craft Lane is a brewery and restaurant with a two-acre beer garden and a taproom, and it hosts weddings and private events.

Orion’s Roof is a rooftop restaurant atop the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort, 183 feet above the ocean, the resort says.

Rudee’s Restaurant and Cabana Bar sits on the Rudee Inlet marina. Its site describes indoor and outdoor seating, an outdoor marina deck that is open year-round and a full-service outdoor bar. It is closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
