Lynnhaven Mall says individual store and restaurant hours may differ from the mall’s, so call the store before an early start. The mall has an AMC 18 theater and a newly renovated food court. Its parental guidance policy applies on Black Friday: shoppers 17 and younger must be with a parent or an adult 21 or older on Friday and Saturday after 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 2 p.m. to close. Mall walkers can use the mall from 10 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sundays.

Last year Town Center’s business association posted a list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day and the stores taking part in Black Friday, about a week before the holiday. We will add this year’s when it is out.

Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28

Town Center’s business association published a Small Business Saturday list in 2025 of locally owned shops and restaurants, among them Eclectic Design Florist and Gifts, Jones Art Gallery, Macaron Tart, Merriment on Main, Quirks and The Royal Chocolate. Check each business’s own page for its holiday hours.

The Virginia Beach Farmers Market, 3640 Dam Neck Road, is open year-round with agriculture-inspired shops, and each merchant sets its own hours. On the day after Thanksgiving 2025, the city said the market was open with individual store hours.

Parking and traffic

  • Town Center: parking is free all the time, its business association says, and the garages avoid the time limits on street spaces.
  • The Oceanfront: in the 2024-25 off-season the city made metered street spaces and its municipal surface lots free from Nov. 1 to March 31, with free two-hour parking on parts of Atlantic Avenue from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., under a city notice. Check the signs; the city has not posted a 2026-27 notice.
